Rosario Gen. 1 Ch. 2

The next days, Morris orders groceries everytime he can store a little something in his fridge: one bottle of milk, a little ham, or some fruit. Lucky for him, it is Marylena who comes to deliver most of the groceries and very soon they are friends. Finally Morris dares to ask her to give him her phonenumber and she gives it to him rapidly. Would she like to be around him too?

The next evening he finally has the nerve to call her. She immediately answers; could she have been waiting for his call?
“Hallo?” Her sweet voice comes into his ear.
“Hi, it’s me, Morris, from Phantom 1.”
Morris, so nice of you to call me. How are you doing?”
“I’m fine. I just made another painting and for the first time I got more than 50 simoleons for it.”
“Wow, that’s great, Morris. Congratulations. It’s a pity though I won’t be able to see it some time.”
“Do you mean that?” Morris asks immediately. “Next time I make a painting, I will first ask you to come over and ask your opinion on it.”
“That’s so sweet, thank you Morris. I would love to come to your place and view anything you paint. I bet you are very creative.” Marylena is talking fast, like she wouldn’t let go of their telephone call.
“You’re welcome any time. And not only in your van with the groceries.” Morris blushes as he says this. Why is he behaving this weird? He couldn’t be in love with Marylena, not over a few chats and one phonecall, could he?
But before he can stop himself he says to her: “Tomorrow is my day off. Why don’t you come over in the evening. I will try to have a painting finished for you to see.”
“Oh, that’s very nice. I will definitely come and admire your painting. What time shall I come by?”
“Could you be here around 8 PM?”
“Yes, of course. Till tomorrow then.”
“Till tomorrow!”

When Morris hangs up, he feels his heart beat like crazy and blushes coming to his cheeks. What has he done? Marylena will come tomorrow night to his place in the open air. And he promissed to have a painting ready before she comes. He’d better get started right away….

The next day passes quickly, because Morris has to make a new painting and also has to clean his house. He isn’t concentrated all the time though, he feels a bit nervous and his stomach is doing strange things. Why does he react so strongly to a visit. Because that’s all it is, a visit from a woman. Morris can’t help himself though and he struggles through the day, finishing a mediocre painting.

Just before sunset, Marylena arrives. Morris is able to show her the painting in daylight and then they sit down on the couch to talk. They talk all evening on every subject they can imagine. As time is passing by, their conversation is sometimes broken by silence. Words are being said by the eyes of Morris and Marylena who feel the atmosphere change to a more exciting one.

Suddenly, Marylena realizes that is already midnight and she stands up to go home. Morris follows her quickly. He wants to tell her how much he liked this evening. But when he looks into her eyes he knows the perfect way to let her know that….

Their first kiss

He gently leans over to kiss her on the cheek. Marylena lets this happen with a happy smile.
“Till next time, sleep well,” she whispers.
“Sleep well, hope to see you soon.” Morris answers.

And there she goes. Morris gets into his bed quickly, but he can’t sleep immediately: he is in love with Marylena Hamilton, the grocery girl.

A few days later, Morris calls Marylena in the morning. Lucky for him, she has a day off so they decide to go to town together. They have drinks on a terras, buy an icecream, look at the clothes. They talk together all the time and start to feel more comfortable in each others company.

Bubble machine

Near the end of the afternoon, Morris sees the bubble machine and asks Marylena to join him. They sit down and bubble for a while. Morris loosens up and says:
“I like you very much Marylena. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.”
Marylena smiles warmly at Morris and says: “I like you very much too. I love spending time with you and I hope we can do more fun things together.”
“Marylena, you make me float for joy,” Morris says with a happy look on his face.

When they are done bubbling and floating, Morris suggests they go to his place to sit and talk there some more. Marylena agrees happily and Morris calls a cab. During the ride to Morris’ place none of them dares to say anything at all. The exciting tension between them is enormous and they glanze at each other every once in a while.

Morris and Marylena in love

When the cab drives away. Marylena turns to Morris and leans slightly over to him. Morris sees the look in her eyes and takes her in his arms. Their lips find each other and they enjoy this special moment.
“Marylena,” Morris whispers in her ear, “about what I said at the bubble machine, that isn’t the truth actually.”
“It isn’t?” Marylena draws back a little.
“No, it isn’t. You see, the truth is that I think I’m starting to fall in love with you.”
“Really?”
“Absolutely. This isn’t a game for me. I’m being serious. I have never seen a more lovely and beautiful woman in my live.”
“Oh Morris, I can’t believe it. I thought you were the handsomest man and the most kind friend I ever met, but I didn’t dare to believe you would love me. You see, I started to fall in love with you even the first time when I came to bring you groceries.”
“Marylena, my dear Mary!” Morris exclaims and his starts kissing her again.

Cuddling on the sofa

They slowly move to the sofa and cuddle and kiss for some time and things are getting more and more intense between the two of them. Suddenly Morris pulls a little away from hear and put his hand over his hair.
“I’m sorry Marylena, but things are going a bit to fast now for me. You know, I’m a bit of a traditional man and I don’t want to get more intimate before things are more settled between us. I don’t think it’s right that a man and a woman live together before they are married.”
Marylena is quiet, gathering her thoughts. Morris is afraid of what she is going to say when she finally speaks again.
“Morris, I’m glad you slowed down. I never thought I would feel anything like what I feel right here, right now with you. I always thought it best to move in after marriage, so I absolutely agree with you. I think I just got carried away with my feelings for you and my emotions. Sorry if I put you in a uncomfortable position.”
“Oh, Mary, you’re a darling. I love you. And we have plenty of time together.”
“I intent to have, yes.”
After this discussion, they sit together on the sofa, see the stars appear and enjoy each others company without the excitement they felt before. Suddenly Morris breaks the silence by saying that he has to be off to his work in an hour. They agree to meet each other next afternoon, after Marylena finishes her work.

When Marylena is gone, Morris realizes that he hasn’t told her yet what he does for a living. How will she react shen she finds out that he is criminal? Will she still love him? He hopes everything will be alright, because he couldn’t stand to loose Marylena.

Then he hears the carpool coming and he goes off to work.

  2. Awwww … how sweet. And if Marylena TRULY loves him, she’ll forgive him for being a criminal. Who knows … maybe SHE wants to be a criminal, too. And he can steal her a nice BIG diamond engagement ring. ;O)
