Karin’s Sims 2 stories

End of Aalsmeer Valley and Kingdom of Batavia

I’m sad to announce that I have had to reinstall the Sims and delete everything I had. Due to some downloads that I had gotten recently, the Rosario family got bugged for the second time. In fact, my whole game-partition of the computer was acting strange, demanding check disk at every start-up of my computer.

I couldn’t even analyse if a defragmentation was necessary. Finally I managed to do so and discovered also some very strange files that were defragmented. That’s when I decided that it was safest to clean out every download and with that the game. I had used the downloads everywhere in my game and this computer really is the family computer with our photo’s and my BF’s games too. I didn;t want to take any risk.

I reinstalled the game and some necessary hacks from Variousimmers. And that’s all! I also started a new Legacy, with a YA this time.

Soon you will meet with Anna Flowers, a knowledge sim with a lifetime want of becoming Chief of staff. I have played her almost through college already (to give in to my feeling of making up for my lost families :-( ), so I will start posting about her soon, probably on this blog. I might change the lay-out of this blog or get another one, I’m not sure yet.

Well, I will let you know when everything is ready.

The Huijssoon Family

At the cabin of Jannes and Gesina Huijssoon, life had continued slowly without many eventful things happening. Gesina was still pregnant and had to rest a lot during the day. She would then lie down on the bed and wonder about her baby. She truly hoped she would get a good relationship with this child, because one of Gesina’s most important fears was to have enemies.

Jannes just went to his work everyday and saved every penny. He was more focussed on their finances and bills than he was taking care of his pregnant wife. Partly that was because he was trying to avoid thinking about Gesina’s defiguration and the possibility that his child would get it too. Jannes knew he would feel ashamed of his child and he prayed vigorously that the child would be born normal.

The Van Ravenswaaij Family

Because Charlotte’s blood pressure was a bit high, she was told to stay at home and take a lot of rest. Charlotte however didn’t like it at all and felt a bit lonely. That’s why she decided to ask her sister-in-law to come over. Elisabeth was pregnant too, so the two of them had a lot to talk.

The Royal wedding

Finally the day came for which all people of Batavia had waited for: the wedding of King Willem to his fiance Miss Victoria Fitzwilliam. The event had taken months of preparations, the best caterers had been contracted, the most beautiful arch had been constructed and the best champagne had been ordered. Finally the invitations had been sent and Victoria had chosen her wedding gown, all was finally set for the first official Batavian ceremony. Everyone was given a national holiday. From the other side of the fence the peasants could watch the wedding ceremony and all the nobles were invited as guests.

The Schaafsma Family

Bouke was very pleased with his latest conquest: Maaike De Winter. She was so naive and in love that she didn’t refuse him anything. He knew he was going to get a lot of pleasure from her. He knew his sister didn’t approve of his way of dealing with women, but to him it was the only way he knew, the only way that worked for him.

He had approved of her engagement to Gijs De Winter though. The guy seemed a good match for his sister. Besides, the sooner she was out of the house, the more space he had for his relationships.
